Dear Coaches,
Greeting from Hampton University, “Our Home by The Sea”. The Hampton University Men’s & Women’s track programs would like to invite you and your team to the 1st Annual Hampton University Indoor Invitational held on Friday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 24, 2009. The meet will be held at the brand new Boo Williams Sportsplex here in the city of Hampton, Virginia. We here at Hampton University are excited to be hosting this first ever indoor track meet at such a great sports facility.
The Boo Williams Sportsplex (www.boowilliamssportsplex.com) has a brand new 200m six lane IAAF certified synthetic surface that will allow your athletes to produce some impressive performances. We have a large amount of hotel and restaurants with 1.5 miles from the facility. This facility is currently being considered to host the 2010 MEAC Indoor Track Championships. This year this facility will also host three outstanding high school championships-2009 Peninsula District Indoor Track Championships, 2009 Eastern Regional Indoor Track Championships and the 2009 Virginia AAA State Indoor Track Championships.
This year we will be inviting several 2008 Olympic Finalist and many world-class runners that train here in Virginia and throughout the U.S.
