Hampton University Athletics

Brandon Thompson is in his third year with the Hampton University football program, and his second as a graduate assistant and quality control coach. He works primarily with the Pirates offensive line, while also assisting with the team’s video coordination.

Thompson was a student assistant last year for the Pirates.

Prior to coming to Hampton, Thompson coached at two high schools; he served as a wide receivers coach for Brunswick (Va.) High School, where he also helped coaching the defensive backs, and he also served as wide receivers coach for a season at Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, Va.

The top three receivers at Brunswick that season earned All-Peninsula District honors and went on to play college football.

Thompson graduated from Hampton in 2011with a degree in health and physical education. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in counseling.
