Appeared in all 30 games for the Pirates, starting four at the point guard position… fourth on the team in scoring (176 points), third in assists (45), third in three-pointers made (26) and fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.347)… shot .333 (54-of-162) from the field and .750 (42-of-56) from the foul line… averaged 11.5 points through his first eight games at the college level… finished the season averaging 5.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game… scored in double figures on eight occasions… led the Pirates in scoring three times and in assists four times… made his only field goal attempt and handed out an assist in his collegiate debut at Clemson (11-19-04)… was 7-of-10 from the field, 4-of-4 from behind the arc for a season-high 19 points in his first MEAC contest against Bethune-Cookman (12-4-04)… scored 14 of those 19 points in the first half to lift Hampton to an 11-point lead at the break… came off the bench to score a team-high 15 points at Virginia Commonwealth, going 3-of-4 from three-point territory, 4-of-6 from the free throw line… dished out a career-high four assists versus Bethune-Cookman and North Carolina A&T (2-12-05)… registered 14 points, two rebounds, three assists and one steal in his first career start at Radford… scored in double figures in six consecutive games from November 27 through December 12.

High School
A four-year letterman at Ravenscroft High School where he helped guide the Ravens to a mark of 54-9 during his final two seasons under Coach Kevin Billerman… a two-time all-conference selection, West averaged 19 points and seven assists as a senior after posting 17 points and six assists per game during his junior campaign… the speedy point guard helped the ravens go undefeated in conference play over a two-year span, during which they finished fifth and second in the state… named Best Defender at the Five-Star Camp… also lettered two years in football… spent the 2003-04 season at Maine Central Institute.
