CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT UNIVERSITY
Played in four of seven tournaments as a freshman… had four rounds in the 70s… shot a career-best 76 twice: in the St. John Fisher Invitational and in the Golfweek Div. III Fall Invitational… played in two tournaments as a sophomore… shot a season-best 77 in the first round of the Oglethorpe Fall Invite… also shot a 79 in the Bay Creek Invitational.
 
GRANBY HIGH SCHOOL
Played on the varsity golf team all four years… was district champion as a junior… averaged a 73 as a senior, shooting a 69 to win the regional tournament… also won the district title that year… also played soccer all four years… Was First Team All-District and Second Team All-Region as a junior… named All-State as a senior and was named to the All-Region Tournament team.
 
PERSONAL
Born April 26, 1996… son of Karen and Jose Rivera… has one brother, Christian (22)… nicknamed Alex… was featured in The Virginian-Pilot… majoring in business with a minor in leadership… wants a career with the Coast Guard.
