On the softball field she was a four-year letterwinner as a pitcher … co-captain (2002-04), as well as a part of the City Champions (2001-03) … MHSAA District and Regional Champions (2003) … named as a DPSL All-City Player in 2003 and ’04 … Leslie was an MHSSCA All-District (2002-03, ‘04), All-Region (2003) and All-State Honorable Mention (2003) player on the mound for the Phoenix… in volleyball she saw action as an outside hitter through four years for the Renaissance High School Phoenix… co-captain for three years (2002-04)… helped the Phoenix to City Championships in 2002, ’03 and ’04… named to the DRD/PSL All-Tournament Team (2001-03)… voted as an All-City player in 2003 and ’04… MIVCA All-District and All-Region (2004).

Leslie Hooks is the daughter of Dennis and Gerri Hooks… born on February 27, 1986 in Detroit… before arriving at HU, Leslie spent one year at Florida State… she decided to attend HU because of the strong academic background, along with the great faculty & staff on campus… some of her hobbies include exercising, cooking and photography… states that her family has been the biggest athletic influence in her life.
