Hampton University Athletics

Lashondra Dixon, the Lady Pirates basketball second all-time leading scorer, enters into her fourth year with the Hampton University women’s basketball program.

 

At Hampton, Dixon’s primary duties, aside from the normal day-to-day operations of any women’s basketball program, are to assist with recruiting, arrangements, bench-coaching, and serving as position coach for guards.

 

Dixon, a standout 5-5 guard, played at HU from 1999-2003 and was named as the 2002-03 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament’s Most Outstanding Performer.  She departed from HU having scored the most points of any Lady Pirate on the Division I level of athletics with 1,967 career points.  Dixon graduated from Hampton University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2003.  She is now pursuing a master’s in Business Administration.
