Final Stats
NORFOLK, Va. – #Darrion Pellum# scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for Hampton, but it was not enough as the Spartans' 59.6 percent shooting was enough to complete the season sweep of the Pirates 90-68 in Joseph Echols Hall on the campus of Norfolk State Saturday night.
The 22-point win by the Spartans (9-17, 7-7 MEAC) was Hampton's worst to the Spartans since the 1981-92 season, when NSU defeated the Pirates 80-56. Hampton was also swept by the Spartans for the first time since the 2005-06 season.
The Spartans would lead the Pirates by as many as 34 points at one point in the second half. Hampton would only get as close as 15 points in the first half, with the score 39-21 in favor of NSU. The Spartans would turn that into a 20-point lead at the break to make the score 51-31.

In the end, the Pirates defense could not quite contain the Spartans, and Deloach scored a game-high 27 points, with 19 of those coming in the first half. Deloach made 10-of-12 shots.
