Choicetta McMillian were named HU Athletes of the Week on Monday, due to their outstanding performances over the past week.
Dixon (Plainfield, N.J.) won two event titles at the Golden Flash Gala in Kent, Ohio this past Friday and Saturday. He won the 60-meter dash with a facility-record 6.67, before running a season-best 21.33 to take the 200-meter dash.
This is the second straight week in which Dixon has been named HU Athlete of the Week.
McMillian (Fairfield, Texas) averaged 21.5 points in two games for the Lady Pirates this past week, going a combined 14-for-27 from the floor (51.9 percent) in wins over Savannah State and Maryland Baltimore County.
She scored 22 points against Savannah State on Monday, hitting six of her 11 3-pointers, before tying her career high with seven 3-pointers in a 21-point effort against UMBC on Saturday.
The men's track & field team will not return to action until after the New Year, while the women's basketball team will head to Birmingham, Ala. on Monday, Dec. 19 to take on UAB.
