Results: Colonial Relays | Florida Relays
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Hampton University men's track & field team finished third in the Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Zable Stadium.
The Pirates finished with 92 points, while Michigan took the men's team title with 167 points.
In all, the men won five event titles – including both the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relay. The Pirates ran a 41.10 to take the 4x100-meter relay and a 1:25.09 to win gold in the 4x200-meter relay.
Freshman
Brien Berry (Durham, N.C.), who was on the 4x100-meter relay squad, also took both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash; he ran a 10.76 in finals of the 100-meter dash, before turning in a 21.03 to win the 200-meter dash.
Freshman
Chidi Okezie (Philadelphia, Pa.), who was on both winning relay teams, also took the 400-meter dash with a 47.82.
Senior
Reggie Dixon (Plainfield, N.J.) and sophomore
Je'Von Hutchison (Boynton, Fla.) were also on both the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relay squads.
Freshman
Javan Gray (Springfield, Ore.) tossed the javelin a school-record 59.30 meters to finish second, while senior
Devan Clark (Lorton, Va.) came in fourth in the javelin throw with a mark of 56.02 meters – which also best the old school record set by Brian Houston in 2003 (54.85 meters).
Freshman
Mohamed Labor-Koroma (Chantilly, Va.) jumped 1.85 meters to come in second in the unseeded high jump.
The Lady Pirates finished 16th in the Colonial Relays with 24 points, while Villanova won the women's team title with 152 points.
Junior
Shantae Boney (District Heights, Md.) turned in the women's individual finish at the Colonial Relays, coming in second in the unseeded high jump with a mark of 1.60 meters. Senior
Ermesha Fair (Chesapeake, Va.) came in third in the university long jump after leaping a season-best 5.66 meters.
Sophomore
Teiara Denmark (Virginia Beach, Va.) ran a 12.45 in the 100-meter dash to come in sixth.
Select Lady Pirates also competed in the Florida Relays at the Percy Beard Track at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. The Lady Pirates turned in a sixth-place finish in the 1,600 sprint medley, as the foursome of sophomore

Cydney Robinson (Portsmouth, Va.) ran a 4:00.17.
Sophomore
Alaine Tate (Queens, N.Y.) ran a season-best 2:09.48 in the 800-meter run to finish ninth.
Norman ran a season-best 11.64 in the 100-meter dash to come in 11th.
The Lady Pirates will return to action on Saturday, when they cross the James River to compete in the Norfolk State Relays at Dick Price Stadium in Norfolk, Va. The Pirates will be off until April 20-21, when they head to Baltimore, Md. for the Morgan State Legacy Meet.
