NORFOLK, Va. – The Hampton University sailing team closed out the fall portion of its schedule with a 14th-place finish in the War Memorial hosted by Old Dominion on Saturday and Sunday.

The Pirates finished with 267 points. Georgetown won the regatta with 103 points.

Hampton's A Division – comprised of Veronica Maccari, Albert Toledo, and Kimannee Simon – tallied 147 points and had a second-place finish over the weekend, while the B Division – with Giuditta di Laghi and Ramatoulie Sallah Mohammed – had 120 points and a pair of fifth-place finishes.

This marked the first time in seven years that Hampton competed in the War Memorial.
