GREAT NECK, N.Y. -- The Hampton University sailing team finished 16th in the America Trophy on Saturday and Sunday hosted by King's Point, after competing in the regattas that serves as the MAISA co-ed championship race.
 

The Pirates finished with 410 points. Georgetown won the regatta with 148 points.

Giuditta Di Laghi and Albert Toledo sailed in the A Division, tallying 226 points and recording three top-10 finishes. Veronica Maccari and Joshua Gopeesingh racked up 184 points in the B Division, recording three top-10 finishes -- including a third-place effort in Sunday's final race.
