HAMPTON, Va. -- The Hampton University Department of Athletics will host "A Celebration of Leaders and Champions" on Monday, March 21, at 12 p.m. in Odgen Hall.

The event will celebrate the MEAC champion men's basketball team -- which won the conference regular season and tournament titles -- as well as the women's track & field team, which won the MEAC indoor title last month, and the men's track & field team, which won the IC4A indoor team title earlier this month.

Head men's basketball coach Edward Joyner, Jr. and Director of Track & Field Maurice Pierce will speak at the event, and among the student-athletes honored will be guards Quinton Chievous and Reginald Johnson, Jr. -- who were both First Team All-MEAC selections this season -- and track & field All-Americans Ce'aira Brown and Trey Holloway.
