BALTIMORE, Md. – Despite season highs from four different players, the Hampton volleyball team dropped a five-set Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division match at Morgan State 25-27, 30-28, 18-25, 25-22, 15-13 Friday.
Reeana Richardson had 19 kills to match her season best and added seven digs to lead Hampton (9-15, 4-4).
Victoria Jenifer had a season best 13 kills and five digs,
Lena Washington had 12 kills and eight digs in the match. Lena Reed-Petracek added a season-high 45 assists, while
Maja Petronijevic added a season best 23 digs.
Hampton won two of the first three sets, but saw the Bears climb back and take the last two 25-22 and 15-13.
The weekend run through Baltimore concludes on Sunday afternoon when they face Coppin State in a 3pm match.
