BALTIMORE, Md. – The Hampton University men's tennis team dropped a tightly-contested Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division match on Saturday at Morgan State 4-3.
The Bears won all three doubles matches to clinch the team point winning 6-4, 6-2 and 6-3. In singles, Hampton made its charge after falling behind 3-0 as
Juan Araoz won at line #1 6-2, 7-6 (7-0) and
Charles Hudson won at line #4 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 to trim the margin to 3-2.
Morgan State took a three-set decision at line #5 to clinch the dual match.
Luke Thompson won at line #6 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) to make the final 4-3.
Hampton returns to action on Sunday morning at 11:30 when they visit Richmond.
