LANDOVER, Md. – The Hampton University men's indoor track and field team finished second this weekend in the 2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Prince George's Learning Complex.
N.C. A&T State won the meet with 144 points, followed by Hampton (108) and Bethune-Cookman (97.5) to round out the top three.
Isaac Arriola took second in the triple jump with a leap of 49-1.75, while
Trey Clark took fourth in the pole vault with a leap of 14 feet.Â
Emmanuel Too earned a second in the mile (4:21.66) and fourth in the 3000 (8:55.09) while
Stanley Davis took sixth in the mile 4:23.78.
The 400 meters saw
Jaelen Williams take third place (48.39) and
Justin Beatty finish sixth in 48.82. The 60 hurdles had
Charles Graham finish sixth (8.168) and
Jaelen Williams take eighth (8.46). Brenan Garrett ran a 6.9 in the 60 meters for a seventh place finish.
The final event was the 4x400 relay as Garrett, Davis, Beatty and Williams combined for a 3:16.89 to take third and hold onto second place.
Hampton will next compete in the IC4A Championships over the weekend of March 2.
