The Short Story: Hampton battled through a first two sets that were determined by a combined four points. Presbyterian responded by winning the final two sets to close out the four-set match in the Big South opener for both teams.

BEHIND THE NUMBERS
- Hampton was paced offensively by Megann Delgado who posted another double-double with 15 kills and 10 digs.
- It was the third meeting all-time between the two schools. Presbyterian won the first two meetings, coming in 2014 and 2015.
- Lena Reed-Petracek led all players with 34 assists.
- Reed-Petracek and Maja Petronijevic joined Delgado in double-digit digs with 10 each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hampton looked to capture the first set with a 23-20 lead, but Presbyterian received kills from Allie Wright and Erin Eulitz to pull within a point. A service error brought set point to the Lady Pirates, but Presbyterian rallied for four in a row to close out the 26-24 win.
- Hampton had set point again in the second, but unlike the first, was able to finish off Presbyterian to even the match. HU led 24-22 when a PC kill and an error knotted the set at 24-all. Kyndall Nicholas responded with a kill to put the Lady Pirates back up. Another Presbyterian error finished the game.
- Presbyterian won the third set behind a .379 hitting percentage, while Hampton had its worse-hitting game of the match, posting a .207 mark.
WHAT'S NEXT
Hampton will continue its trip through South Carolina on Saturday, facing Charleston Southern University (5-4/0-1) for another Big South contest at 2 p.m.
