KIAWAH ISLAND, SC. – The Hampton University women's golf team participated in the largest tournament in the nation this week in the 49-team Kiawah Island Spring Classic.Â
The tournament took place on two courses – Osprey Point and Oak Point with Coastal Carolina and North Florida tying for the title at one-over-par 865 for the 54-hole event. Hampton came in 48
th at 1,032.
Leading the Lady Pirates in the event was
Kayla Cole who rebounded after a tough opening round for a three-day 91-76-79 to total 246 and finish alone in 205
th.Â
Jakari Harris was next with rounds of 80-87-81 for a 248 and a tie for 210
th finish.Â
Lizabeth Randles came in alone in 241
st with rounds of 85-89=87 for a 261, while
Lauren Price shot 91-91-95 for a 277 and finished alone in 250
th.
Hampton will next see action in the UNC Asheville Spring Invite on March 24.
