LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Hampton volleyball team opened competition in the Bison Invitational on Friday against the hosts and fell 25-17, 25-23, 25-17.

Gabby Calloway topped Hampton (4-5) with 11 kills and six digs, Sasha Saric had seven kills and Alyah Barkley along with Clara Smith added four kills each.

The second set saw 16 ties and six lead changes as a kill by Calloway gave Hampton its last lead at 19-18.  The lead was tied twice more after that before the Bison pulled out the 25-23 win.

Hampton now faces Delaware State and Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday to close out the tournament.
