BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Hampton men's tennis team dropped the second half of its Big South opening weekend at Gardner-Webb on Saturday falling 7-0.
In doubles, the tandem of Fayzullohon Malvyud and
Basil Post dropped a tight 6-4 decision at line three to Stefano Puga and Jacob Wall as the hosts took the team point. Singles saw Malvyud lose in a third-set tiebreaker falling to Victor Putter 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6).
Hampton (0-6, 0-2) continues its swing by visiting Radford on Wednesday.
