CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Hampton University senior Jermaine Marrow and sophomore Ben Stanley were named First Team All-Big South selection announced by the conference office on Monday.

Now a two-time selection, Marrow missed six games due to injury but still leads the league in scoring (24.3 ppg) and assists (6.5 apg) making him the first Big South player to lead in both.  He is the only player ranked in the top 15 nationally in both categories. 

Marrow had eight games of 30+ points and 13 games of seven or more assists.  He had a season high of 37 points against Campbell and had 14 assists against Charleston Southern.  Marrow also leads the league in free throws made (173) and free throws attempted (223) despite missing six games.

Stanley exploded on the scene this year averaging 22.5 points and almost eight rebounds per game.  He is ranked in the top 10 nationally in scoring and averaged 25.5 points per game in the month of December when Marrow was out.

Stanley had eight double-doubles and four games of 30+ points which was topped by a 40-point outing against Howard.  He hauled in 13 rebounds on three occasions against Longwood, Charleston Southern and Richmond and was named Big South Player of the week twice.

Hampton returns to action on Thursday night at 8pm facing Longwood in the Hercules Tires Big South Men's Basketball Championship Quarterfinals at Radford.  The game will be on ESPN3.
