HAMPTON, VA- Pirates Gantt-Bey and Armbrister win their singles matches; however, the Pirates Men's Tennis team dropped Saturday's match against Howard.

The loss brings HU to 2-12 on the season.  Howard improves to a 4-5 record.

Donte Armbrister (Nassau, Bahamas) defeated Howard's Daniel Dunac at No. 4 Singles (6-3, 6-2), recording his fifth singles win of the season.

Junior
Daud Gantt-Bey (Washington, D.C.) captured the Pirate's second point at line five, defeating Howard's Hassimiyou Dieng (7-5, 6-4).Â

Cliff Dwyer (St. Mary, Jamaica) And
Ange-Kevin Koua (Quebec, Canada) played hard but dropped their sets at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions as the Bison were able to capitalize on the third set.Â

The Pirates came up short 2-0 in doubles matchups for the day; the No.3 lie went unfinished.Â

The Pirates return to action on Thursday, March 31
st, at home against Virginia Wesleyan University at 3 PM.
