About the Hampton Athletics Foundation
Our Mission
The Hampton Athletics Foundation (HAF) exists to advance the mission of Hampton University Athletics through philanthropic support that empowers student-athletes to achieve excellence in competition, in the classroom, and in life.
Through the generosity of alumni, fans, friends, corporate partners, and community supporters, HAF provides critical resources that enhance the student-athlete experience and position Hampton Athletics as a premier Division I athletics program.
Today, more than 350 student-athletes compete across 17 varsity sports while pursuing a world-class education at Hampton University. Philanthropic support helps fund:
- Athletics scholarships
- Academic support services
- Leadership development programming
- Student-athlete wellness initiatives

Our History
Building the Future of Hampton Athletics
Established in 2023, the Hampton Athletics Foundation was created to elevate Hampton University's athletics programs and provide sustainable philanthropic support for future generations of Pirates.
Since its inception, HAF has experienced significant growth in donor participation and philanthropic investment, resulting in increased support for all 17 varsity sports programs.

Pirate Leadership Society
Also launched in 2023, the Pirate Leadership Society recognizes the University's most committed athletics supporters.
Membership is extended to individuals and organizations contributing $5,000 or more annually to Hampton Athletics through gifts supporting:

- Annual Fund Initiatives
