Hampton's Marquis Godwin to Play in NTX Combine

Hampton basketball standout Marquis Godwin has been invited to participate in the NTX Combine. The NBA-sanctioned event is scheduled from May 2-4 in Dallas, Texas. The combine will feature 30 NBA draft-eligible prospects who will play in in front of some 20 NBA team representatives and scouts.

Godwin recently played in the HBCU Basketball All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio.
The 6-5 senior guard averaged 12.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest last season. The Hampton, Va., native started all 32 Hampton games last year for the Pirates. A transfer from Old Dominion University, Godwin shot .402 from three-point range and .880 from the free throw line in 2022-23.
