HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 19, 2024) ... The Hampton University Lady Pirates basketball team hits the road for a matchup in "Music City" as they face Vanderbilt on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET in Nashville, Tennessee.

ABOUT HAMPTON

Hampton heads to Nashville after a tough 62-53 loss to Norfolk State on Saturday in the Battle of the Bay. Aisha Dabo had a season-high 15 points and nine rebounds to lead Hampton, while CeCe Thomas added 10 points.
 
The Lady Pirates trailed 50-38 with 9:39 left against the Spartans but went on a 13-6 run to trail 56-51 after a pair of Dabo free throws with 77 seconds left. That was as close as Hampton could get.
 
Jasha Clinton leads Hampton in scoring through three games averaging 12.7 points per game. Thomas joins her in double figures averaging 10.3 per game. Dabo is next at 8.3 points and a team-high 6.3 rebounds per game. Le'Asia Foreman is next at 8.0 points and is second in rebounding at 5.3 per contest and leads in steals at 2.7 per game.
 
As a team, Hampton is averaging 57.7 points per game and allowing 60.7. Clinton is among the Coastal Athletic Association leaders in scoring (13th), steals (11th), assists (21st), blocks (T21st), and 3-pointers made per game (25th).
 
ABOUT VANDERBILT

Mikayla Blakes scored 29 points and Khamil Pierre added 24 as Vanderbilt defeated Butler 81-52 on Sunday afternoon. The Commodores have defeated Lipscomb (102-50), Austin Peay (93-37), and South Florida (62-49) along with Butler to start the season.
 
Blakes leads four players in double figures for Vanderbilt averaging 21 points per game, with Khamil Pierre following at 19.8 points and a team-best 10.5 rebounds per game. Iyana Moore is next at 11 points per game and Madison Greene chips in 10.5 points per game.
 
As a team, Vanderbilt is averaging 84.5 points per game and allows 47.0.
