TOWSON, Md. (Feb. 3, 2024) – The Hampton Pirates fell to the Morgan State Bears by a score of 5-2. The Pirates only had five athletes compete which led to one forfeited doubles and singles match.

Daniel Flynn and Donte Armbrister posted the first win for the Pirates by a score of 6-4 against Mikeal Carpenter and Niles Rachal. Rhajzon Rankins and Makkijha Brown defeated Aryan Arora and Emiliano Jorquera by a slim margin of 7-5.

In singles, Jorquera won his match in quick fashion by scores of 6-4 and 6-2. He improves to 2-0 in singles play this season. Arora earned his first singles win of the season, beating Anthony Parris 6-2, 6-3. Flynn battled against Carpenter, and Armbrister against Rachal, but both fell 6-4, 6-3. In the last matchup, Shine Tokas was defeated by Rankins (6-2, 6-2).
