HAMPTON, Va. (Jan. 29, 2025) – Hampton University, along with the Board of Directors and member institutions of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), has announced its decision to opt into the landmark NCAA settlement by the March 1, 2025, deadline.

This settlement, which has received preliminary judicial approval, involves the NCAA, former Power Five conferences, and student-athlete plaintiffs. If finalized, it will allocate $2.576 billion in compensation to former and future student-athletes, covering claims dating back to 2016.

By joining this agreement, Hampton University and its CAA peers reaffirm their commitment to supporting student-athletes and shaping the future of collegiate athletics.
