RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 2, 2025) … The Coastal Athletic Association released its 2025-26 Women's Basketball Preseason poll on Thursday afternoon and the Hampton Pirates were picked 11
th according to a vote of the league coaches.
Charleston was picked to win the league with eight first-place votes and 139 points, with Drexel in second (125 points, two first-place votes) and N.C. A&T (124 points, three first-place votes) rounding out the top three.
Under the leadership of second-year head coach
Tamisha Augustin, the Pirates return seven players from last year's squad.
Aisha Dabo is the leading returning scorer averaging 8.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, while
Le'Asia Foreman is the leading returning rebounder as she hauled in 5.1 rebounds per game to go with 6.2 points per contest.
Hampton has brought in seven newcomers to the Pirate program this year, including two freshmen and five transfers.
The Pirates open their 2025-26 season on November 5 hosting The Apprentice School inside the Convocation Center.
