HAMPTON, Va. (May 22, 2025) … It was announced on Thursday by the NCAA that the Hampton University women's outdoor track and field team will have four participants in the NCAA East Regionals starting on Thursday, May 29 in Jacksonville, Fla.
The qualifying event for the NCAA Championships will be held at the University of North Florida's Visit Jax Track inside Hodges Stadium. A top 12 finish in an event will earn a bid to the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Oregon on June 11-14.
Dejah Grant will run in the 400-meter hurdles and is ranked 22
nd in the East Region heading into the event. She will run her first-round race on May 29
th at approximately 8:20 p.m. If Grant makes the second round, she will run again on May 31
st at 7:25 p.m.
Jordan Mozie will run in the 800 meters and is ranked 28
th in the region. Her first-round race will be May 29
th at approximately 7:50 p.m., while if she advances to the second round that race will be on May 31
st at approximately 7:05 p.m.
Hampton will have two participants in the discus throw which will take place on May 31
st at 1 p.m.
Damali Williams, ranked 24
th regionally, and
Rochele Solmon, ranked 40
th, will represent the Pirates in that event.
