Coastal Athletic Association Announces Conference Opponents for 2025-26 Campaign

RICHMOND, Va. (June 13, 2025) … This morning, the Coastal Athletic Association announced the men's basketball conference opponents for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Members of the conference will square off against the other 12 league members in an 18-game schedule. Hampton's slate will consist of six home and away opponents, three home only, and three away only opponents. Two of the six repeat opponents are designated as permanent opponents to preserve regional rivalries and geographic ties. The Pirates will have an even split of home and away contests.

Conference games will primarily be slated for a Thursday/Saturday schedule with some contests played on Mondays. CAA matchups will be available on FloCollege, CBS Sports Network and local television partners throughout the league's footprint. In addition, the semifinals and final of the CAA Men's Basketball Championship will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

Coach Ivan Thomas's side will face Charleston, North Carolina A&T, UNCW, Stony Brook, Towson and William & Mary once at home and on the road. Hampton is one of two teams set to face the top four teams from last season's conference standings. However, the Pirates earned their first-ever win over the Seahawks inside the Convention Center on CBS Sports Network. Hampton won on the road against the Aggies last year for the first time in years.

The Pirates' three home-only opponents will be Elon, Monmouth and Northeastern. Coach Thomas's squad will face Campbell, Drexel and Hofstra on the road. Hampton earned wins over the Dragons and Pride for the first time in the program's history.

Dates and times will be released at a later date.
