CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 29, 2025) … The Hampton University sailing team wrapped up competition in the CofC Intercollegiate Sunday, placing eighth in the tournament. The A division led by Tyler Brown and Chloe Anderson were phenomenal early, posting two first place finishes in the first four races. 

In races 1-4 the duo of Brown and Anderson posted finished of 1, 3, 3 and 1. The two helped the A division finish with a score of 71. The B division posted a final score of 103, as Ivet Bejar, Jackson Manley, and Anderson led the charge. In the sixth and seventh races the B division posted a second place and first place finish. 

The Pirates finished with a total score of 174 in the tournament.

Hampton returns to action Oct. 4 when it travels to New London, Conn. for the Open Atlantic Coast Championship. This is round one of the even with the second round coming on Oct. 18.
