HAMPTON, Va. (March 19, 2026) … The Hampton University outdoor track and field season will begin this weekend as 14 Pirates have landed in Tampa to participate in the University of South Florida Alumni Invitational at the USF Track and Field Stadium starting on Friday.
Hampton's contingent will participate in the sprints and relays this weekend as they'll have participants in the 100, 200, 400, 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles and both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
The meet will be streamed both days on ESPN+ with live results going throughout the weekend.
For the men's team:
Khari Barnes,
Jaden Clark,
Jayden Poteat and
Ethan Moody will run. On the women's side,
Kenidi Johnson,
Sophia Cormier, Zoe Ledet,
Madison Hardrick,
Brianna Charles, Nyla Felton,
Morgan Pruitt,
DeAuna Louis,
Arriah Gilmer and
Carmen PenaSoto will participate.
Participating schools include: Alabama A&M, Columbia, Florida A&M, Florida International, Howard, Keiser, Norfolk State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Troy, St. John's, Southeastern, Syracuse, Louisville, Tampa, Wisconsin, West Virginia among others.
