HAMPTON, Va. (April 15, 2026) … The Hampton University track and field programs will participate in a pair of meets this weekend in the Tar Heel state.

Most of the teams will be in Greensboro for the Aggie Invitational starting on Friday, while on Thursday and Friday some of the middle distance runners and throwers will participate in the 70-team Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem.

Through results of last weekend, the women's team has 10 individuals ranked in the top three in their respective events in the CAA with a pair of top-ranked athletes. Danielle James has the best mark in the long jump with a leap of 6.09m (19-11.75) at the Bill Carson Invitational on March 27, while Nyla Felton has the best time in the 100 meters at 11.43 in the Texas Relays on April 1.

On the men's side, the Pirates have five athletes ranked in the top three in their events with Marquis White having the top mark in the long jump with a leap of 7.45m (24-5.5) also at the Bill Carson Invitational.
