2006 (Junior)
Second Team All-MEAC… named an All-American Scholar-Athlete by the NFCA… appeared in 35 games for the Lady Pirates, starting 34… batted .286 and drove in 13 runs with a slugging percentage of .418… nine of her 28 hits went for extra bases, including seven doubles and two home runs… walked six times… drove in all three Hampton runs in 3-2 victory over Bethune-Cookman with a solo home run and a two-run single… threw out 7-of-21 base runners attempting to steal… had seven multi-hit games, four multi-RBI games and an eight-game hitting streak during one stretch of the season… batted .233 with runners in scoring position... blasted a two-run homer in the sixth inning at Coppin State to lead Hampton to a 4-2 conference win.

2005 (Sophomore)
One of two Lady Pirates to start all 46 games… saw time at catcher, pitcher and first base… was third on the team with a .336 batting average… ranked in the top five in the MEAC in several offensive categories… finished fourth in slugging percentage (.547) and fifth in home runs (6) and RBIs (39)… registered 12 multi-hit games an a team-high 12 multi-RBI games… had four games with at least three hits… tied Maggie Wolfe for the team’s longest hitting streak at 14 games… second on the team with 46 hits and tied for first with nine doubles… knocked in a career-high four runs against Morgan State (4/29) in the MEAC Tournament with a third inning grand slam… blasted a game-winning two-run home run in extra innings to lift Hampton to a 6-4 win over Maryland Baltimore County (2/25) in the UNC Wilmington Tournament… threw out 18-of-40 attempted base stealers from behind the plate… posted a mark of 2-2 on the mound with an ERA of 2.97… made 10 appearances at pitcher, including three starts… tossed one complete game… two-time MEAC Player of the Week.

2004 (Freshman)
Appeared in 53 games on the year for the Lady Pirates while starting in all 53 appearances… Tied for second on the team in homeruns on the year with four… Punched in 30 strikeouts while working for 96.2 innings on the mound… Held an ERA of 3.72 with a record of 9-4 in 24 appearances, including one save… Posted seven complete game efforts in 11 starts on the year… Recorded a batting average of .267 on 40 hits in 150 at bats… Drew seven walks while posting seven sacrifice hits on the year, including one sacrifice fly… Registered a team second-best 231 putouts with 65 assists… Drove in three runs on three hits against Norfolk State (4/24) in the second game of a doubleheader… Earned her first career save against Maryland-Eastern Shore (4/18)… Notched four strikeouts against Claflin (3/20) and in the second game of a doubleheader affair with Maryland-Eastern Shore (4/18)… Allowed zero (0) earned runs against Maryland-Eastern Shore (4/18) through seven complete innings of work on the mound… Registered 11 putouts in the field, added with one RBI on one hit against Howard (4/2) in the first half of a doubleheader.

High School
Earned four letters at Colton High School under head coach Joseph Montes… Assisted the Yellow Jackets into getting two San Andreas League championships, along with a second place and third place finish in 2002 and 2003… Named as a San Andreas League All-League selection all four years… Earned all-county honors in 2001 and 2003… Off the field, Gonzalez was a National Honor Society student.

Personal
Jennifer is the daughter of Carin DeLeon … While at HU, she is working towards a degree in psychology … Her athletic goals include being the best softball player in HU history, as well as impressing herself … After graduation, Gonzalez wants to earn a doctorate degree and have a good-paying job … Some of her hobbies include playing basketball, collecting dolphin paraphernalia and shooting a few rounds of golf every now-and-then.
