Bethany Henry enters her first season as an assistant under first year head coach Ronaldo Pacheco.
Henry most recently spent time as an assistant at Winston-Salem State. Last season, the Rams amassed a 10-8 record in the CIAA and a 14-19 overall. Throughout her two seasons there, Winston-Salem earned a 19-14 record in the CIAA and 29-34 overall. The Rams made a trip to the CIAA semifinals in 2022, and quarterfinals in 2023.
She served as a director for Nike - US Sports volleyball camps, over the past three years.
The Wilmington, N.C. played for Virginia State under Coach Amanda Walker from 2018-2021. She was honored as the CIAA Woman of the Year (2022) and to the All-CIAA First Team (2021) for her performances during her senior season while also being announced as a nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year (2022). She posted 103 kills, 49 blocks, and 44 digs. Henry led VSU in blocks (28) in 2019 and helped the Trojans make it to the CIAA Finals in 2018.
In 2022 and 2023, Henry worked as a CIAA Basketball Tournament intern. She helped as an office assistant for the VSA athletic department from 2019-2021.
At Virginia State, Henry was not only a member of the International Honor Society in Psychology from 2020-2021 (including the president in 2021), but also part of Virginia State's Honors Program and The National Society of Leadership and Success.
She graduated summa cum laude with a 3.91 GPA at from Virginia State and a 3.98 GPA in her master’s degree from UNCG, also summa cum laude.
While at John T. Hoggard High School, she competed in both track and volleyball.
