Joselyn stepped on the floor as a defensive specialist/libero…She saw action in 120 games over the course of 34 matches for the Lady
Pirates… Second on the team in digs with 273 digs (2.28)…Knocked down five kills while scoring 13.5 points on the season…Posted a season-high two kills vs. Gardner-Webb (Sept. 10) on just three attempts…Tallied a career high 18 digs on defense on three occasions, the last versus Coppin State (Sept. 30) at the South Carolina State University Spike Fest…Served out two service aces in matches against South Carolina State (Sept. 9), Savannah State (Sept. 10), and Gardner-Webb (Sept. 10)

2004 … FRESHMAN SEASON
Joselyn stepped into the rotation as a defensive specialist/libero towards the end of the season for the Pirates … She saw action in 56 games over the course of 19 matches for HU … Picked up seven kills (0.12 kpg) and 11 service aces (0.20 SApg) on the campaign … Collected a team fifth-best 98 digs in just 56 games for the Pirates … Scored 18 points on the season … Posted a season-high two kills against Maryland-Eastern Shore (Oct. 28) on just two attempts … Posted a season-high 13 digs on defense against Norfolk State (Nov. 9) … Went on to collected 9 digs on two occasions against Bethune-Cookman and Norfolk State in the MEAC Round-up (Oct. 15-17) in Princess Anne, Md. … Served out four service aces in matches against Norfolk State (Nov. 9) and Howard (Nov. 18) in the MEAC Tournament.

Born on Nov. 10, 1986 in White Plains, N. Y. … She is the daughter of Valerie Matthews and Mervyn David … Plans on becoming a lawyer after graduating from HU … Helped her team in accomplishing a conference championship with a record of 15-0 as a senior (2003-04) … Was named Salutatorian for high school graduation … High school team also registered a first place Regional State title for ACE school system.
