Hampton University junior Devyn Thompson was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance on the cross country course this past weekend.

Thompson (Chicago, Ill.) came in sixth in the MEAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Princess Anne, Md. after running a season-best 19:18.87 over the 5K course to earn All-MEAC honors for the third straight year.

The Lady Pirates finished second in the MEAC Championships.
