Hampton University sophomore rightside Vendula Strakova was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance on the volleyball court this past weekend.

Strakova (Brno, Czech Republic) recorded her seventh double-double of the season on Sunday in a three-set win at Howard. She had 17 kills and 12 digs on defense, hitting a season-best .438. It was her third match this season in which Strakova hit at least .400.

Strakova also had three service aces and assisted on four of Hampton’s five blocks.
