Hampton University junior Je'Von Hutchison was named HU Athlete of the Week after his performance this past weekend on the track.

Hutchison (Boynton, Fla.) shined at the Father Diamond Invitational on Saturday, winning the 400-meter dash with a 48.69 to qualify for the IC4A Indoor Championships. He was also on the men’s 4x800-meter relay team that took gold with a 7:42.81.

Of the Pirates’ three event titles over the weekend, Hutchison had a hand in two.
