Hampton University junior Margaret Wilkins was named HU Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance on the softball field this past weekend.

Wilkins (Tustin, Calif.) went 11-for-13 (.846) at the plate in the Tiny Laster FastPitch Tournament, driving in six runs over the course of four games and scoring five runs. She went 4-for-4 in Saturday’s win over Mississippi Valley State, and she was 3-for-4 with four RBIs in Friday’s win over Grambling State.

Wilkins also had two home runs over the weekend, giving her three for the season.
