Hampton University freshman Rayon Black was named HU Athlete of the Week following his performance this past weekend on the cross country course.

Black (Kingston, Jamaica) paced the Pirates in the 8K race at the HBCU Challenge, finishing 14th with a 28:42.00. His effort was a big part in helping the Pirates finish third in the Division I team standings.

Coming into last weekend, Black had the 11th-fastest time in the MEAC.
