Hampton University redshirt-sophomore guard Dwight Meikle was named HU Athlete of the Week following his performance on the hardwood this past weekend.

Meikle (Baltimore, Md.) came off the bench to score seven points and grab a team-high nine rebounds in Saturday’s 72-62 win over Florida A&M. He also recorded an assists, a block, and a steal in 21 minutes in Hampton’s MEAC opener.

He was 3-for-7 from the floor.
