Hampton University senior forward Alyssa Bennett was named HU Athletes of the Week following her performance this past week on the basketball court.

Bennett (Hampton, Va.) averaged 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games for the Lady Pirates, who remain undefeated in MEAC play. She had 18 points, six rebounds, and five steals in Monday’s 99-45 win over Morgan State, going 8-for-9 from the floor.
 
She added 21 points and nine rebounds in Saturday’s 70-46 win at Savannah State, going 8-for-11 from the floor.
