Hampton University sophomore Emmanuel Price was named HU Athlete of the Week for his performance this past weekend on the track.

Price (St. Louis, Mo.) tallied 5,909 points in the men’s decathlon at the Morgan State Legacy Meet this past Friday and Saturday, coming in second. He also matched his season-best mark in the triple jump, leaping 14.39 meters (47 feet, 2.5 inches) to come in fifth.
 
His efforts helped the Pirates finish eighth in the team standings.
