Hampton University sophomore Taylor McCoy was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend on the softball field.

McCoy (Riverview, Fla.) was a big part of the softball team’s three-game sweep over Norfolk State this past weekend, going a combined 6-for-12 at the plate with seven RBIs and three runs scored. She also had three doubles and two home runs.
 
She went 3-for-4 on Sunday against the Spartans with four RBIs, and she hit a home run in each game of Saturday’s doubleheader. McCoy went 2-for-4 in Saturday’s first game.
