Hampton University senior rightside Vendula Strakova was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance on the volleyball court this past weekend.

Strakova (Brno, Czech Republic) was named MVP of the DePaul Invitational after helping the Lady Pirates to a 3-0 record over the weekend. She averaged 5.58 kills and 6.29 points per set over the course of the weekend, including her first double-double of the season at DePaul (27 kills, 10 digs).
 
She also had 25 kills and seven digs against Bradley. For the weekend, Strakova hit .359.
