Hampton University senior rightside Vendula Strakova was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend on the volleyball court.

Strakova (Brno, Czech Republic) led the Lady Pirates to wins over Norfolk State and Morgan State this past weekend, recording double-doubles in each match. She had 24 kills and 12 digs against Morgan State on Sunday, hitting .474.
 
For the weekend, she hit .477, averaging 5.57 kills and 3.29 digs per set.
