Sophomore Jericka Jenkins was named on Tuesday as Hampton University’s Athlete of the Week for her performance on the basketball court.

After scoring eight points on 2-for-3 shooting from 3-point range on Jan. 18 at North Carolina A&T, Jenkins exploded for a huge game against Bethune-Cookman on Saturday, when she scored a career-high 31 points on 10-for-18 shooting to go along with six rebounds and a team-high six assists.

Jenkins went a career-best 8-for-14 from 3-point range.
