Hampton university redshirt junior guard/forward Dwight Meikle was named HU Athlete of the Week for his performance this past week on the basketball court.

Meikle (Baltimore, Md.) led the Pirates to a 2-0 record this past week, with wins over Tennessee State and Coppin State. He averaged 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest, shooting a combined 9-for-22 (.409) from the floor.
 
He had 15 points and nine rebounds in Saturday’s MEAC win over Coppin State.
