Hampton University junior guard Brian Darden was named HU Athlete of the Week on Monday for his performance on the basketball court this past week.

Darden (Hampton, Va.) dropped a career-high 23 points this past Monday in the Pirates’ 93-65 win at Morgan State, hitting six of his seven 3-pointers and going 7-for-8 from the floor as Hampton picked up its third straight win.
 
He also had five rebounds and three assists in that contest.
