Hampton University senior Chidi Okezie was named HU Athlete of the Week for his performance on the track this past weekend.

Okezie (Philadelphia, Pa.) was on the Pirates’ 4x400-meter relay team that won gold this past Saturday in the Hampton Relays at Armstrong Stadium, running the third leg as the Pirates won the event with a time of 3:11.19.
 
He was also second in the 400-meter dash after running a season-best 47.08.
